There is nothing worse for cat or cat owner than a smelly litter cat litter box.
For everyone, the litter box is the worst of part of having a cat as a pet. Not only is it something people dread to clean but it is as well dusty and dirty. And, those who do clean it can find themselves more vulnerable to cat diseases that are present there. Sure, it is a bad job but it does not have to be too hard either.

Your cat may stop using their litter box if it is not cleaned on a regular basis. About all cats will continue to use the litter box once he has done so several times, but you need to keep it clean. Besides, a dirty litter box can result in cat health problems so do make for sure to keep it clean.

There are not many regions in the world that haven’t been colonised by snakes and other reptiles. Snakes are even found in cities, although it is only the friendlier ones that usually survive human wrath. However, if you want to look for a few of the more uncommon snakes, you could look in parks and fields, on beaches or in rivers and ponds and even in the sea, depending on where you live, of course, as sea snakes are inclined to inhabit warmer, tropical waters.
You will have to be very alert and train your eyes to notice even the smallest movement. Wear clothing of dull, drab colours and move slowly, stopping often to listen for movement in the grass or bushes. In the beginning, you will have many false hopes, until you learn to tell the difference between the sounds of the different animals that live or hunt in the grass.
Snakes are difficult to find. Most of the adventurous snakes get killed by frightened (and often ignorant) humans, but a good tip is to look for relatively damp areas in arid regions and, conversely, dry spots in damp areas. Look for where their prey might congregate. For example, near water for toads and frogs. Watch for frightened lizards or birds fleeing for their lives. And listen for geckos warning each other of the presence of a predator.
If you need to move anything, at least don’t damage it and furthermore, ensure you put it back as you found it. Two useful tools while out looking for snakes and other reptiles are binoculars (for tree snakes) and a snake-hook, which should also be used for moving bits of debris so that you don’t risk getting bitten by a snake or stung by a scorpion. A camera, a torch and a notebook and pen are more or less essential, depending on how seriously you treat your interest in herpetology.
You could also take a rule or tape to measure your specimens and a few plastic bags and boxes to hold them while you are doing so. Do not kill anything and do not take anything home with you either! Apart from it not being right to wander into their territory and cause mayhem, it is often contrary to the law too. Be very wary of picking up any snake that you cannot definitely identify as non-venomous. You could be miles from anywhere and will probably not have anti-venom with you. Since many snakes can kill within 30 minutes, you would probably die.
In summary, go looking for snakes by all means, but take it easy and slowly and wear inconspicuous clothing. Moreover, wear strong, hiking-style boots to give you some protection where you are most vulnerable and do not move anything unnecessarily. Take a snake-hook to move things if you need to; a tape, torch, camera, notebook and pen to record your experience and/or findings and a few clear plastic receptacles in case you feel that you have to pick something up.
I hope you really enjoy your search for snakes and other reptiles, but always keep in mind that snakes are not friendly and they are definitely not pets, so be wary of snake bites especially if your search is not taking place in the gardens of a hospital!

I live in New York, home to some of the best food in the world. The same can be said about coffee too. There are so many great makers of coffee in this city that it’s sometimes hard to keep up with them all.
It was just last week when I stumbled upon my favorite new coffee. In fact, this is the best coffee I’ve ever tried in my life. That’s a really bold statement when you consider how much coffee I actually drink.
The store has its origins in Portland, Oregon, with a few locations throughout the city and some others in Seattle. The founder of the chain moved to New York, and that’s all to our benefit, as the first of a few planned branches has opened here.
Many patrons of Stumptown praise the high quality of the entire menu, but I’ve stuck with the regular house brew so far and it’s excellent. The cafe lattes and the cappuccinos are said by many to be even better than the regular coffee.
You’d be surprised to know that Stumptown coffee doesn’t really cost any more than you’d pay at a major chain, which happens to be a great thing. The atmosphere, though it lacks seating in this particular location, also seems to be one entirely based around the quality of the coffee.
I’m not alone when I say that this is the best coffee I’ve ever had. The chain has won numerous awards, and those who’ve tried it seem to be just as hooked as I am.
Seattle residents are going as far as saying that Stumptown has the best coffee in their city. When a coffee chain is winning the praise of drinkers in a huge coffee city like Seattle, I think the praise speaks for itself.
I can only envy those on the West coast who’ve been fortunate enough to have a Stumptown in their city for the last decade. As for me, I’ll definitely be making the most of my new found obsession.

Developing cooking classes for teens can be a worthwhile ” and potentially rewarding ” endeavor nowadays. As the ability to cook starts getting viewed as something to be proud of in teen and tween circles, we are seeing more and more teens seeking to sign up for cooking classes, and there are hardly enough courses to meet the need.
But while developing cooking classes for teens has potential to be rewarding there are some things you need to take into consideration if you are to make a success out of that effort. This is because the teen mind is quite different from either the adult mind or the child’s mind, meaning that the task of designing cooking classes for teens has to be approached with a lot of care if one is to come up with a course that will find widespread acceptance with teens.
Cooking classes for teens, for instance, have to be fun. This means presenting the concepts in a friendly manner, and in the case of internet-based courses, having a friendly user interface. Anything that is not fun simply wont be accepted by teens. And anyone who has worked with teens at some point will aver to the difficulty of trying to get them to do something that they find not to be fun.
These classes have to be moderately challenging. Give teens something that is not challenging enough and they get bored (and simply give up on it). Give teens something that is too challenging on the other hand ” and they soon get discouraged and simply give up on it too.
It must not be too time consuming. If taking the cooking classes ends up taking too much of the teens time (and therefore eating up into time set aside for other activities in the teens life) it risks ending up being resented ” or even shunted to a siding altogether ” when the individual teens reconsider their priorities.
Cooking classes for teens have to offer some immediate (instant) rewards for the teens taking them. The rewards can be something as simple as the acquisition of the ability to do something that the student couldn’t do at the beginning of the class, and so on. This means that cooking classes for teens that are task-oriented rather than theory-oriented are likely to be more successful as the teens want to see the returns on the time they invest in the learning immediately.

What began as a fashion statement has become a personal obsession, as pink lovers discover new ways to use pink in every aspect of their daily lives. The history of pink provides interesting insight into the rising popularity of the colour pink.
The History of Pink – Pink has been used as a colour in fashion and make-up for centuries. However, it was only after the second World War that pink became associated with femininity. Before World War II, baby boys were often dressed in pink, as red was viewed as a masculine colour, and pink was just a “watered down” red. (By contrast, baby girls were typically dressed in blue.) However, after World War II, pink began to be associated with traditional womanhood.

The film, which depicts how a woman can simultaneously be intelligent and sexy, was so popular that it was even turned into a Broadway musical. The popularity of pink climbed as women began to embrace the colour as the perfect symbol of modern femininity.
Pink in the Home – Those in search of a rosier world can now find a wide range of ways to decorate their homes in fashionable pink things. Pink can be the dominant colour scheme for a room, or it can be used as an accent colour to bring a little fun to the everyday. The budding field of colour psychology suggests the use of pink for soothing, too: there have even been reports of criminals behaving better if their cells were painted pink!
The rise of pink may be driven by these new psychological explanations. Pink lovers are doing more than just choosing a few fashion accessories. They are hoping to “see the world through rose-colored glasses,” to use the power of a positive colour to bring more happiness to their lives.

The Minnesota Twins’ diminishing playoff aspirations took another hit Tuesday when it was announced that All-Star 1B Justin Morneau will be sidelined the remainder of the year.
Morneau has been fighting back pain for weeks, but a CT scan along with an MRI on Monday revealed that he has a crack in his lower back.
The condition doesn’t figure to need surgery. Physicians have informed Morneau to relax the back for the next 3 month|fall season.
Morneau wounded himself on a headfirst slide into 1st base on Friday and hasn’t yet played ever since.
Before last week’s accident, the slugging 1st baseman had previously been playing through pain off and on for a good deal of time. Accordingly, his numbers have declined mightily; Morneau was hitting just .077 in the current month to lower his 2009 batting average to .274. Before this slump, he had been batting above the .300 figure. Having gotten only 9 hits over a duration of 22 games, it was clear that something was wrong.
“You can play with the discomfort if you feel as if you are helping the team or doing things to help your teammates out and victory contests,” Morneau insisted. “When you go out there and you don’t feel as if you are helping everyone, that is when you have to take a step back and say, ‘Okay, perhaps I’m doing more harm than good.’ ”
Despite his struggles of late, Morneau finishes the 2009 season with 30 homers and one hundred RBIs. The home run total is higher than his ‘08 total of 23.
Michael Cuddyer figures to turn out to be the primary 1st baseman in Morneau’s lack.
Despite the injury, Morneau remains positive regarding the Twins’ chances the rest of the season.
“Hopefully I’ll watch the guys go on a run here and act as cheerleader and that is about it,” Morneau said.

The best aspect behind grape growing is that they grow on a vine, with the help of a trellis. Since vines cant support themselves, the trellis gives them a place to hold on to; maximizing space usage. Because of this, grapevine growers can harvest grapes both in a vineyard, and in their own backyards.
The Trellis Explained
Vines are not strong enough to support themselves and therefore need a trellis for support. The way a trellis looks depends upon the person who is growing the grapevine. It can be very decorative or it can strictly be functional. A trellis can come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit the needs of the grape grower and it can be made out of a variety of materials including iron, pretreated wood, stainless steel, PVC pipe, or aluminum. It can be purchased or a simple functional design can be fairly easily constructed by hand. Although grapevines can be grown in a yard, they are a fairly large plant. You will need a space of about eight feet by eight feet for one vine.
Trellis Construction
A trellis should be constructed before the vine is planted into the ground. Normally, taller trellises are used in warmer climates. A trellis that is shorter has a better chance withstanding winter weather and makes it easier to prepare the grapevine for winter. Shorter trellises use posts that are about three feet high. Larger trellises require a post that is about eight feet high.
Trellis Location
Planning where your trellis is going to be should be considered before you start digging holes to place the poles into. You have mapped out your sight place the first post about two feet into the ground. Taller eight foot posts will be sticking about six feet out of the ground. It is suggested to cement the post into the ground. It takes several years before you will see a crop of grapes so; this trellis is going to be a permanent fixture for some time. Posts can also be secured by using catch wires anchored to the ground or another much shorter post set in the ground next to your main post. Posts are set into the ground at a distance of eight feet apart. Two rows of galvanized steel wire need to be run between the posts. The first row runs along the bottom of the posts about three inches from the ground. The second wire should run along the top of the posts. Use a staple gun to staple the wires in place. Purchasing a trellis for your grapevine is also an option that a lot of grape growers explore when looking to grow a small crop of grapes. The investment is more but you options are open. Just make sure to have good planning and have taken careful measurements as to where you would like your trellis to be to ensure that you buy a trellis that is right for you.
Building Your Trellis
Buying a trellis for your vines is very common amongst small crop farmers. Even though the investment is initially higher, your options widen and you are guaranteed to have a fully functional trellis, ready for use. If you are planning to buy your trellis, make sure to have the exact measurements of the prospective grapevine location so that you dont spend unnecessary energy replacing it.
When your grapevine begins to grow, it will climb along these two wires on the trellis. At the beginning, the vine will need your help to grow onto the right places ” an aspect that we will later discuss on my grape pruning section.

The latest rumor has it that the Los Angeles Clippers are looking at Carlos Arroyo and making an effort to acquire him. Arroyo would be a serviceable backup to Baron Davis, and it looks like this Clippers team is serious about making an impact in the 09-10 basketball season.
There’s still speculation that Arroyo’s camp may have prompted these rumors. After all, if LA looks interested, perhaps the Celtics or the Bulls would offer him a higher contract in response.
Arroyo’s NBA career previously spanned with the Jazz and the Magic, before he left two years ago to play basketball in Israel. Arroyo saw success during his time there, as he helped Macabbi Tel Aviv to another title, and was even named the team’s most valuable player during the finals.
As a Clipper, Arroyo would back up Baron Davis, but it raises a question about the role of Sebastian Telfair and the Clippers’ interest in him. Telfair, once extremely hyped around the league, has failed to come through on the potential the Timberwolves (and many others) believed he had.
The biggest concern in the past that teams have had about Arroyo is not his playing ability, but more so the chemistry he brings to (or takes away from) a team.
Having played for both Stan Van Gundy in Orlando and Jerry Sloan with the Jazz, Arroyo had problems getting along with both coaches. Many NBA coaches may be inclined to stay away from him as a result.
Despite this all, Arroyo showed great sportsmanship in Tel Aviv, and many believe it served as a valuable learning experience for him. This has increased the appeal of Arroyo with teams in need of a point guard.
Since the Clippers had previously been setting their hopes on Ramon Sessions (formerly of the Bucks), it looks like Arroyo becomes all the more valuable to the team. Sessions, who just opted to play in Minnesota, is no longer available, making Arroyo stand out some more in the slim pool of available point guards.

Dustin Nippert his basis for maintaining the number five role in the Texas Rangers’ starting pitching rotation in Texas’ 5.0-2 victory over Toronto in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader. Next to pitch, Brandon McCarthy, making his 1st because leaving the pitching rotation in the beginning of June for the DL.
Nippert had much superior finesse than in his latest outing last week at Yankee Stadium. In the Bronx, he allowed eleven base runners (four hits, seven walks) and was only responsible for eleven outs. On Tuesday afternoon, he got out of trouble to get his 5th win of the year and third as a member of the starting rotation. Nippert gave up 5 hits, walked merely one. He lessened his earned run average as a starter to 4.43 and on the whole to 3.91. It was Nippert’s third successful start in his prior five games.
Nippert claimed there honestly was not much disparity concerning how he threw last week and on Tuesday: “Simply able to pitch strikes. In Yankee Stadium, I think I pitched one slider successfully. The larger mess I put myself in, I tried relentlessly to get beyond it. I was truly going the wrong way. I continued walking guys, trying to pitch that ideal pitch.
“Yesterday, I was able to throw it ahead in the count, late in the count. Keep the hitters off my fastball.”
Said manager Ron Washington: “I do not suppose he was throwing too hard. He was balancing with his change-up and his moving pitches. Elevated his fastball.”
Washington and Nippert both acknowledged Nippert wasn’t playing to maintain his role in the pitching rotation. Furthermore Nippert insisted he will gladly start or come out of the bullpen. Since the Texas Rangers are in post-season pursuit, each roster member’s function augments in importance.
“I simply would like to contribute to this team,” he said. “It’s great for us that we possess more arms now. Whomever’s hot you may choose to start.
